The Scots pine is Scotland’s national tree and unlike Scotland's national animal it can be found quite easily in the park. The needles (like leaves) are evergreen (meaning they don't fall in off in the winter), bluish green in colour, slightly twisted and grow in pairs from the same spot on the twig.
