Westfield Snake

Stone-Snake-poster.JPG

Our community has come together to create this amazing snake made of stones.

Anyone who enjoys painting can take part - young or old. We’d just love to see the Westfield snake well fed and colourful.

Please add your decorated stones and remember not to move any or take any away.

To find the start of the snake enter the park from the Alex Collie car park, walk along the path that runs along the front of the center and the scout hall. At the end of that path turn left down the hill, the snake should be on your left.

Top Rock Painting Tips

  1. Pick smooth flat rocks (you can decorate any rock but its harder to decorate ones with ridges).

  2. Wash the rocks before decorating (you want to remove the dirt so it doesn’t mess your design).

  3. Paint your design use several coats if you can (let them dry between layers).

  4. Use an outdoor or multi surface paint. (you can also use paint pens or Sharpies).

  5. Once the paint is dry finish off your rock with a coat of Mod Podge Outdoor or a clear outdoor varnish (this will help stop your beautiful design from washing off in the rain).
